Nano4-Leather is an innovative nanotechnology product that features a new water-based ultra-hydrophobic coating. Once applied and left to cure for 24 hours, a thin 500 nm layer of SiO2 (silicon dioxide) forms a seal over the treated surface. When leather is protected with Nano4-Leather, it becomes resistant to humidity, water, coffee, ketchup, wine, oil, syrup, sauces, and other hot or cold liquids. Any spills can be easily removed by gently dabbing with an absorbent cloth, restoring the leather item to its original condition.

The Hohenstein Textile Testing Institute GmbH & Co. KG has categorized it as an ECOLOGY product, suitable for creating human-ecology textiles that meet the requirements of Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, product classes I-IV.

Application method of Nano4-Leather


To maintain the product's quality, avoid leaving it unused for extended periods as it may lead to creaming, sedimentation, or separation. Prior to usage, make sure to stir or shake the product well.


Prior to application, thoroughly clean and dry the leather, ensuring it is free from anionic surfactant residues. Avoid using silicones or surfactants as they can negatively impact the product's performance and adhesion.


When applying Nano4-Leather, spray it evenly on the surface and ensure uniform distribution. For surfaces that cannot immediately absorb the liquid, such as smooth leather, gently rub it in using polishing motions. Allow 24 hours (at 20ºC) for the surface to fully cure after applying Nano4-Leather.





The Final Score


The protection will last for five (5) years under normal use and abrasion, as long as Nano4-Leather is applied according to the instructions.


The amount of product needed per application will vary depending on the application method and the porosity of the surface. In any case, the consumption will range from 30ml/m² to 200ml/m². This means that 1 liter can cover surfaces from 5m² to 33m². A simple test to determine the necessary amount of product is to spray 1m² of the surface with water. The quantity of water used will indicate the exact consumption.
